Our long-term relationships with both clients and candidates has lead us to operate predominantly in two ways:

  1. Companies approach us for a no-obligation discussion of their business needs which enables us to strategise an action-plan
  2. Candidates proactively approach us in search of a new career path

We then work together with clients and candidates to find a perfect match, through a number of stringent processes:

The Team.



Jeremy Paterson has been involved in recruitment one way or another for the past eighteen years. He started his career with an international banking giant based in the United Kingdom. In 2004 Jeremy made the move to Adelaide Australia where he worked for one a large global recruitment firm, here he headed up the banking team with incredible success for such a short period of time.

2008 saw Jeremy take the a further challenge and move to Brisbane. In Brisbane he was employed as the General Manager for a group of companies covering multiple recruitment disciplines across the whole of Queensland. In late 2012 he decided to take the plunge and Stonefish Careers was born.

Outside of the office Jeremy has a passion for salt water fly fishing and has chased his prey to the four corners of the planet. In addition to his fishing exploits he is also an avid competitive sailor and has taken part in many of the Australia’s signature sailing regattas.


Tenille started her career as a recruiter in 2011 at Michael Page International (now PageGroup) specialising in temporary and contract recruitment of administrative personnel across the Brisbane market. As the preferred external consultant for organisations such as Cement Australia, Grant Thornton, Atlas Copco, Allens Linklaters and CPA, her industry knowledge became vast and detailed across often contradictory sectors, leaving her with a complex knowledge of the local recruitment landscape.

Taking a short break in full time recruitment in 2014 and instead turning to Business Development positions in fashion, tourism and small business consulting, she returned to Stonefish in 2017 to fulfil her ultimate career passion and has since expanded the Stonefish specialisation and client portfolio beyond the finance sector.

Tenille holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Queensland University of Technology and is dog-mother to a two kilo rescue mutt named Wonton.


Unlike most financial planners, Mickael has spent the last seven years in the financial services sector focusing on placing emphasis on strong communication, reliability and client education. It is his unwavering dedication to client experience that lead Mickael to assume the position of Chief Operating Officer at Stonefish Careers.

Responsible for the company’s systems and logistics, Mickael joined Stonefish in 2017 to ensure that their rapidly growing portfolio represents the highest standards of quality and service.


As a professional investor, George brings a wealth of experience to Stonefish Careers. Having scaled businesses from start ups to large enterprises, most notably founding his first tech company at age 18, which amassed over 180 million app users, George specialises in corporate structuring, strategy and management accounting.

His passion for growing and developing businesses has seen him partner with multiple startups and SME’s to assist with capital needs and corporate strategy.

Joining Stonefish in 2017 as a Director. George assists with strategic development, innovation and development of prospective business opportunities.
